Introducing the Nebraska Omnium Weekend:

Last year was the first Nebraska Omnium Weekend, but it really was a tried a true idea-- a weekend of exciting bike racing in Nebraska.  It was formerly known as the Dave Babcook Memorial Stage Race, then later called the Omaha Cycling Weekend.   Last year we added the Ashland criterium and renamed it the Nebraska Omnium Weekend.   NOW offers a great opportunity to experience our smooth highways, small towns, and Nebraska scenery with lots of rolling hills.   The three events are located in rural Nebraska between Omaha and Lincoln, with several unique attractions nearby.  Stop and see an SR 71 Blackbird or U-2 spy plane at the Strategic Air and Space Museum, or stop at Mahoney or Platte River State Parks, or the Simmons Wildlife Safari.    You will be driving or riding past all of these.

Due to popular demand this will be an omnium format, which means that for each event the top finishers in each category will be awarded points based on their finish.  At the end of the weekend the riders with the top points will be awarded the Omnium prizes.

Riders will receive points for their finishing placing in each of the  races as listed below.  The riders with the highest cumulative points at the end of the Nebraska Omnium Weekend will be awarded the cash payout and trophies.  Overall ties will be broken by the placing in the road race.
